United Counties League Premier Division: Leicester Nirvana 3 Sleaford Town 1.

Hamilton Park, Sandhills Ave, Leicester LE5 1LU.

We’ve seen Nirvana play a few times but never at their own ground. Turns out they haven’t had their own ground very long, only recently moving into Hamilton Park after 30-odd years of ground-sharing with Highfield Rangers. This was only their second match since the ground opened just prior to Christmas. It also turned out to be one of the friendliest clubs we’ve visited.

We were joined by Leaky and Morgan (#ivcj) and our mates Simon and his lad McKenzie and we were all well-impressed with Nirvana. They play the game with great spirit and style and are always looking to play progressive, attractive, attacking football.

Hamilton Park is a tidy little ground with two covered stands and a decent clubhouse. The lamb sausage cobs went down a treat. We’ll deffo be visiting again in the not too distant future. #forzanirvana
